Equipment Rails
Originally introduced in the 1970s and installed in thousands of hospitals in North
America, the Fairfield rail system used to be the de facto
standard of equipment management. Now, Nexxspan Healthcare offers a new
standard: new and improved accessory and headwall products that go well
beyond the original Fairfield rail system. To help older facilities
preserve their original investment, the new Nexxspan rail system is
designed to be seamlessly compatible with most of the old Fairfield
installations. Our seasoned designers, engineers and product
specialists–with decades of collective experience in equipment
management–continue to create new solutions to equipment management
challenges based on their understanding of caregiver tasks and user
needs.
Equipment and components originally sold under the
Fairfield brand is still in use in many facilities.
These installations are generally compatible, and original
components can, in most cases, be used with current Nexxspan rail systems that are integrated in free-standing,
wall-mounted and mobile products. Many of the retro-compatible
existing Fairfield systems date as far back as the 1970’s
— a tribute to our philosophy of combating obsolescence. The Nexxspan Healthcare rail system offers unique
benefits to healthcare providers in terms of expandability,
flexibility, adaptability, productivity, ergonomics
and aesthetics:
- Caregiver can set up equipment to support individual
work habits, preferences or facility-wide protocol
- By personalizing their work spaces, caregivers
control own work flow and preference
- Productivity improves when work place setup is optimized
- A user can change work space setup instantly, without
tools
- Malfunctioning equipment can be replaced instantly
- The rail system can be installed with minimum of
disruption
- Equipment is fully portable so each patient room
can be re-configured quickly and easily in response
to evolving demographics, changes in protocol or new
regulations
- A common pool of standardized equipment throughout
a facility keeps inventory low and supports a swap-out
maintenance and repair strategy
- Optionally, equipment can be secured to rails so
it cannot be removed from critical setups
- The industry’s strongest warranty
